Dates

The 6th Global Feed & Food Congress (GFFC), organized by the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) with technical support provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and in collaboration with VIV worldwide will be held at the exclusive Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, on 11-13 March 2019.

Congress Venue

6th Global Feed & Food Congress (GFFC) will be held at the exclusive Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Registration

Register now for the GFFC to take advantage of the ‘Early Bird’  rate until 31 July 2018 and at the same time reserve your hotel room at the Shangri-La Hotel at preferential rates.

Hotel booking

The GFFC has negotiated special/guaranteed hotel rates for delegates at the Shangri-La Hotel where the Congress will be held. In order to guarantee the special rate, hotel bookings will have to be made through the GFFC registration system. Room bookings will open once the GFFC registration opens in April 2018.

Airport

The Suvarnabhumi International Airport is located 30km east of central Bangkok. The airport’s name is pronounced sù·wan·ná·poom, and has the airport code (BKK).


How to get to the 6th GFCC venue from the airport

By Shuttle bus:

Shuttle service from the Suvarnabhubi International Airport to and from the 6th GFFC Hotel & Congress venue are included in your Congress registration fee and will be organized by BTC Group. Information and a transfer desk for the 6th GFFC will be available at the airport on your arrival. More information will be available on your registration confirmation.

By BTC (skytrain)

Under the Suvarnabhubi International Airport, please take the SRTET City Line until the stop of Phaya Thai (7 stops). Change trains here to the BTS Sukhumvit Line to Samrong and step out at Siam (2 stops). At Siam, take the BTS Silom Line to Bang Wa and step out at Salathip.

By Taxi

Please follow the signs of ‘Taxi’ to outside of the airport. Only take the official airport taxi’s and ask the chauffeur to turn the taxi meter on. Please keep some cash on you when stepping into the taxi, as tolls must be paid by the passenger in cash.
The taxi ride, including tolls, should cost around 500 – 700 THB.

Language

The official languages of the 6th Global Feed & Food Congress will be English.

The 6th GFFC organizers cannot be held responsible for any cancellations or delays caused due to a lack of Visa or other required documentation. Should you require an invitation letter please contact us.

Standard time Zone

Thailand is on Indochina Time (ICT), which is 7 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Currency

The official currency of Thailand is the Thai BAHT (Pronounced: “baaht” – International currency code: THB). One baht is divided into 100 satang. Credit cards Visa and MasterCard are readily accepted at most hotels, airlines, restaurants and upscale merchants. We suggest to withdraw some cash at the airport if you wish to make use of the taxi’s.

Liability

The 6th GFFC Organizers do not accept liability for personal accidents, nor for loss of, or damage to private property of participants, either during or directly arising from the 6th Global Feed & Food Congress in Bangkok. Participants are responsible for making their own arrangements with respect to relevant insurance, in particulatr health and travel insurance.

12th International Feed Regulators Meeting (IFRM)

The 12th International Feed Regulators Meeting (IFRM), organized by IFIF in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), will take place on Thursday, 14 March 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand, right after the 6th GFFC. Government feed regulators may attend this event at no fee and participation at the IFRM is by invitation only. Should you be interested in joining the IFRM please contact info@ifif.org.
